Windows 10 is probably the best looking Windows OS till date, but you can further customize the OS to make it even better. Almost everyone like the Animated GIF images because they are so much cooler and convey more information than a normal still image. Ever Since the sites like Facebook and Twitter started supporting GIF images, there is a craze among the users to share the best GIFs with their friends.
Unfortunately, by default Windows 10 or Windows 8 does not support GIF images as Desktop background. But don’t loose hope, we have a workaround to set these cool Animated GIFs as your wallpapers. You need to use a 3rd Party Software to set Animated GIF as your wallpaper.
There are lots of applications that lets you set animated GIF images as wallpapers.
BioniX Wallpaper Changer
Using BioniX Wallpaper Changer to set an animated GIF image as wallpaper is pretty easy. What’s more, the application can also cycle between multiple animated wallpapers at regular intervals, provided they are in the same folder. Here’s how to get started with this:
Step 1: Launch BioniX Wallpaper Changer. Now, head over to the menu bar, and click on Tools > Wallpaper animator.

Step 2: This should open up the “BioniX Wallpaper Animator” sub-module. Here, you can specify the folder containing the GIF image(s) that you wish to use as wallpaper(s). In addition, you can also configure a bunch of related settings, such as animation speed, magnification, as well as image quality. BioniX Wallpaper Animator even lets you specify the default wallpaper style (centered, tiled or stretched). Once you’re done configuring all the settings, simply close the window. Plastuer is a solid program that helps you set animated GIF as desktop background with a few clicks. Before we tell more about the program, it’s important to note that Plastuer is not free but it can be procured by donating as low as $.10 (we recommend you donate at least $1 for this cool program). In short, you can pay what you want to get this excellent piece of software.
1.IT is a no-installation standalone program. Unzip the downloaded Plastuer package and click the program icon. The software supports multiple monitors. On launch, it detects the number of monitors and gives you a choice to select which monitor.
2.In the URL field, either paste the URL of the GIF, or click Select File option to choose a GIF file from your PC, or click Browse Gallery to select a GIF from the official gallery. You can also add several URLs with the Create Playlist field box.
Select the monitor to set the wallpaper and click Save to complete the setup.
You can disable the active wallpaper anytime by clicking the Disable Wallpaper button. You might also want to get into the settings and set the behavior of the wallpaper when a full screen or a maximized application like a movie or a game is on.
By default, Plastuer automatically detects full screen and maximized applications to pause animations and conserves your RAM.
Finally, click Save button to set selected animated GIF as wallpaper in Windows 10.
